Keeping it Simple

My great-grandmother, Viona Addington, believed that "the simple pleasures in life are the best." Using her recipe, we make a traditional English toffee that reflects her philosophy. No preservatives or corn syrup are added during the cooking of our toffee.

While the "Traditional" English toffee is the most popular version, we can make our confection to order because each batch is handmade. If you are allergic to nuts, we can make your toffee without them. If there is a special chocolate or nut you prefer, we can do that, too! For instance, many of our customers love the pecan nut version (which enhances the buttery flavor of the toffee).

As our focus is on making the best English toffee, our confection selection is limited to what we do best— toffee!

Traditional English Toffee

This is what started it all.  The "Traditional English Toffee" is our most popular product.  We blend sweet cream butter, toasted almonds and sugar by slow cooking small batches until it reaches the perfect temperature.  This hard candy is then carefully sealed with a signature blend of chocolate and a generous layer of chopped walnuts on both sides of the toffee.

Chocolate Lover's Toffee

An "updated" version of our traditional English toffee, this chocolate lover's version of our toffee begins with the same hard candy as the "traditional" version, but finishes with a new generation of chocolate—a generous layer of Callebaut brand dark chocolate seals this toffee.  There are no walnuts applied that would interfere with the taste sensation of the dark chocolate with the simple, rich taste of buttery toffee.  For those bitten by the dark chocolate bug, this is the toffee for you!

Packaging

For those of you lucky enough to enjoy this candy, we have two packaging options.

The shipping friendly boxed version is a gold-linen foil box, wrapped with a beautiful wine colored ribbon and finished with an embossed, gold foil seal.  Inside, the one-pound block of toffee rests upon a candy pad and is wrapped with a parchment paper making a perfect "gift" presentation.

This year we unveiled the adorable jar of toffee.  This air-tight, re-usable glass jar is filled to the brim with bite-size pieces of toffee that are just right to pop in your mouth for a sweet treat any time of day.  Become the most popular person at work and put a jar of toffee on your desk!  Makes a perfect topping for ice cream at home.
